Cyber Safe Hawaii is a collaborative effort led by the State of Hawaii Department of Business Economic Development and Tourism and community resource partners to highlight the importance of cybersecurity for small businesses.

Cybersecurity funds & training available for small businesses
HONOLULU (KHON2) — A cyber security program to help small businesses strengthen their defenses and protect client information is the first of its kind in Hawaii.
“Cyber crime in general is on the rise. In the last, I’d say three months, we’ve had a big rash of it,” stated Derek Gabriel, Ignite Solutions Group CEO.

Hawaiʻi SBDC
The Hawaiʻi Small Business Development Center (HISBDC) assists Hawaiʻi’s small businesses form, grow and thrive. HISBDC provides individual comprehensive business advisory services, market research and a variety of training for local startups and existing businesses regardless of the stage of the business.
Patsy T. Mink Center for Business & Leadership (MCBL)
The Patsy T. Mink Center for Business & Leadership (MCBL) is a Women’s Business Center designed to assist women in starting and growing small businesses, and seeks to “level the playing field” for women entrepreneurs who still face specific obstacles in the business world. MCBL’s mission is to equip women to become successful entrepreneurs and leaders by providing one-on-one business counseling, innovative workshops and unique, specialized programs in a nurturing environment.
VBOC of the Pacific
The Veterans Business Outreach Center of the Pacific (VBOC) is designed to provide entrepreneurial development services such as business training, counseling and mentoring, and referrals for eligible Active Duty Service members (including National Guard and Reserve), Veterans of all eras, and spouses owning or considering starting a small business.
The City and County of Honolulu OER
The City and County of Honolulu Office of Economic Revitalization (OER) was established to coordinate the City’s work on economic development and the transition over time to a more diversified and resilient economy. OER provides information and opportunities for job-seekers, small business owners, farmers, innovators, community-based organizations, and anyone else who is doing their part to improve the quality of life on O’ahu.
Hawaiʻi PTAC
The Hawaiʻi Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) provides free one-on-one counseling, bidmatch services for government opportunities, and education and training to local small businesses. HI-PTAC is your link to government contracts!
